Comb-back
Armchair
This is an English-style Windsor chair, based on a chair which
once belonged to the poet Oliver Goldsmith (1728-1774) and is
now in the Victoria and Albert Museum. Called a comb-back because
the back is intersected by an arm rail. Rather more stocky than
its American relations.
Pine seat, all other parts ash. Paint and
wax finish.
